Showcase 2012

Alaska Dance Theatre Students Showcase features original choreography by the faculty for the School Division and some Open Division classes. Celebrate a year of dance with the students of ADT!

Pre-Showcase: Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 5:30pm - The ADT Pre-Showcase celebrates ADT's youngest stars. Dancers from the Creative Movement program, ages 3 to 5, will demonstrate their class exercises on the big stage as they experience a glimpse of what it's like to step into the spotlight!

A valentine to actors and to the theatre!

The famous Broadway couple, Lunt and Fontaine, are rehearsing Chekhov's The Seagull at their country estate in Wisconsin, Ten Chimneys. West coast premiere!

Friday, May 18th UAA Fine Arts Recital Hall
The SSSS will be performing in this acoustically perfect auditorium with a baby grand piano, accordion, orchestral drums, chimes, and Spenard's very own back up choir.  Special musical guests include Evan Phillips, Emily Kurn, Kevin Worrell, Eve Van Dommelen, Corywn Wilkey, and Jeremy Wetherall, some of which are featured on the album.  To top it off, UAA's Flight Crew will perform an aerial show choreographed to the music. Come one, come all to a show of epic proportions!

Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens is an interactive, high-energy musical set in a futuristic cabaret bar. Since its creation in 1995 at the Edinburgh Festival, it has been performed to ecstatic audiences in all manner of venues from West End theatres to Victorian railway arches; tiny back-street bars to giant big-tops. Wherever it has played, it has consistently delighted people with its explosive energy and its unique relationship with the audience.
