For ticketed events in the ACPA, the CenterTix Box Office opens 90 minutes prior to event curtain times and will remain open through intermission (or 30 minutes after curtain time when there is no intermission and for Voth Hall events).
During these extended hours, the box office will handle business for shows performing that same day only.
Cheryl Wheeler has to be seen to be appreciated. Nothing you read and nothing you hear from her album prepares you for how good a performer she is. From her albums you can tell that she is a gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice. From other people's comments about her you can learn that she is a natural story teller with a fantastic sense of humor. But until you see her in person, you never really believe what you've been told about her. Besides, almost half of the songs she does during her shows haven't been recorded!
Since 1994, thirteen-time Grammy winner Dan Tyminski has contributed his ace instrumental skills (mainly on guitar, but also on mandolin) and burnished, soulful tenor to the sound of Alison Krauss and Union Station, arguably the most visible and successful bluegrass band in the modern era. Tyminski provided the singing voice of George Clooney in the Coen Brothers' Odyssean farce O Brother, Where Art Thou? His powerful rendition of the Stanley Brothers' version of I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow was given the numerous "Song of the Year" award while the movie soundtrack was also honored with the IBMA Award for Album of the Year, as well as the Grammy Award for Album of the Year -- a rare achievement for a soundtrack project.
