"Under :30" develops, produces and presents new performance work of 30 or fewer minutes in length by Alaska artists. The 19th annual "Under :30" features pieces that focus on "revival" by Alaska artist Wendy Withrow, Julius Rockwell and Richard Benevides.
Sometimes, our lives get a jolt when we discover something new about ourselves, our world, our universe. Whether it's Julius finding true love through fudge, Richard Benevides getting a new perspective on his job as a health care policy administrator through his experience as a cancer patient, or Wendy Withrow discovering humanity and compassion by corresponding with the jailed drunk driver who killed her daughter. We can all use some reviving, and revival.
Under :30 is presented by Out North Contemporary Art House.
