Raven Returns: The Story of the Human Beings 2013
Jack Dalton:retrospective 1999-2013 series
Raven Returns: The Story of the Human Beings is the second performance of the Jack Dalton:retrospective 1999-2013 series. First premiered at the Alaska Native Heritage Center in October 1999, Raven Returns intertwines stories within stories creating an epic that covers the entire history of the Yup'ik culture, from the Creation Legends, through historical facts, to today, and even a little ways into the future, instilling a sense of hope. It was Jack's first critical success, with the Anchorage Daily News writing "Jack is a brave new voice with something important to say." Raven Return's has been performed across the US, Canada, Europe and the South Pacific. Come and experience what Jack, himself, sees as his most important work thus far.
