Russian Alaskan Academy of Music
celebrating its 20th Anniversary
During the past 20 years the Russian Alaskan Academy of Music has organized 46 concerts presenting music of Russian composers. Svetlana Velichko has been accompanied by Russian musicians from several countries and has also performed with other prominent pianists her own arrangements of music by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky in duets for four hands. For this concert, Svetlana is again joined by Anton Belov, well known to Anchorage audiences both for his starring roles in several Anchorage Opera productions as well as for three prior recitals with Svetlana which have celebrated the 200th anniversaries of Lizst and Schumann and settings of Pushkin's poetry by several Russian composers.
Program includes works by Glinka, Dargomizhsky, Glazunov, Koenemann, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Metner.
Treasures of Russian Art Song is presented by Russian Alaskan Academy of Music and Fine Arts.

BABIES - All ages must have a ticket to enter.
CHILDREN - Recommended for ages 16 and older.
DAY OF SHOW: CenterTix sales end at 12:00 pm. Will call and any available tickets will be at the door one (1) hour prior to curtain.
LATECOMERS will be held in the lobby until an appropriate break in the show.
