The Nutcracker is the #1 event of the holiday season! Kids of all ages will fall in love with the whimsical sets and costumes designed by former Disney artist, Don Carson, and The Eugene Ballet Company. It tells the story of Clara’s dream about her childhood sweetheart, Hans, transformed into a life sized nutcracker soldier who battles mice. The magical trip continues as Clara’s home turns into the Mouse Kingdom and the enchanting Land of Sweets where she meets all your favorite Nutcracker characters.
Danced to Tchaikovsky's magnificent score, this heartwarming ballet features musicians from the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra and is a major right of passage for local dancers coordinated by Alaska Dance Theatre. This collaborative event is always a community favorite.
The Nutcracker Ballet  is part of the Anchorage Concert Association's 2010-2011 season. Order your own subscription here, or call the ACA at (907) 272-1471.
