April Classic Concert

Presented by Anchorage Symphony Orchestra.

Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 8:00 pm
Atwood Concert Hall

Music with ties to America's cultural capital closes the season. Tchaikovsky conducted his Festival Coronation March in the Big Apple. Former NY Phil bassist Jon Deak's concerto is "concert theatre" featuring The Harlem Quartet as both musicians and narrators. Dance music ends it all with Bernstein's catchy music for the stage.

Mozart - Don Giovanni: Overture
Tchaikovsky - Festival Coronation March
Michael Abels - Delights and Dances for String Quartet and Orchestra
Jon Deak - Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra (The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hallow)
Bernstein - West Side Story: Symphonic Dances
