Gretchen Parlato 2013
Take A Subtle, Seductive Jazz Journey
Gretchen Parlato's voice is a thing of wonder. Striking the ideal balance between precision and flexibility, she blurs the lines between singer and instrumentalist as she unpredictably stretches a lyric or takes off on improvised flights of wordless fancy. Her song list runs the gamut from Brazilian bossa nova to Ellington classics and hits by Stevie Wonder. Be prepared for a seductive, elegant performance from a rising star.
"A singer with a deep, almost magical connection to the music." ~Herbie Hancock
