Celeste 2017

February 11th

Rocket Girl builds a spaceship.

Celeste is having a hard time at school. After her diagnosis of Asperger’s syndrome, she can’t seem to make any friends. She decides she must be from outer space and she starts building a spaceship to bring her back to her home planet. That’s when Celeste meets Martin, a new boy at school, who wants to help build the rocket, and the adventure takes a new turn.

Green Thumb Theatre’s touching play explores the celestial imagination of a young girl and her struggle to make social connections. As we see the world through our Rocket Girl’s eyes, we realize that seeing things differently can be a wonderful gift.

“Fabulous! The story really spoke to me. The acting, props, and sound were top notch! I would highly recommend this performance!”

“…on top of the deep meaning, the play was really entertaining and funny. ”

Celeste is presented by Alaska Junior Theater.
