Cidny Bullens and Wendy Waldman from The Refugees

Cidny Bullens and Wendy Waldman

April 1st and April 2nd

Heavenly Harmonies, Celestial Singing

Cidny Bullens is a two-time Grammy nominee whose career has taken her from singing back-up with Elton John to having eight critically acclaimed solo albums, including 1999’s award winning “Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth”. Followed by “Neverland” and “dream #29” and Cid’s 2010 "Howling Trains and Barking Dogs". In 2007 Cidny formed the “super-trio”- The Refugees- with songwriting greats Wendy Waldman and Deborah Holland. Cidny travels all over the world, whether performing solo, with band, or with The Refugees. Cidny continues to garner high praise as one of Americana's most enduring artists.

Wendy Waldman has a very diverse career in the music industry. She is a critically acclaimed recording artist, as well as a writer of multi-platinum songs for other singers in musical genres ranging from country to pop, film, jazz, children’s music and R&B. She is also a teacher, and one of the first distinguished woman record producers.

Cidny and Wendy will perform songs from their solo careers along with selected works from The Refugees. They plan to invite one or more Alaska musical guests to join them on the bill in Anchorage and perhaps elsewhere in the state.

Due to a personal family medical situation, Deborah Holland will not be traveling with Cidny Bullens and Wendy Waldman to Alaska.

Cidny Bullens and Wendy Waldman from The Refugees is presented by Whistling Swan Productions.

Runs approximately 2 hours including intermission.

BABIES - Discouraged. Ticket required for all ages.
CHILDREN - Recommended for ages 9 and older.
CHILDREN (Vagabond Blues) - Babies and children under age 9 discouraged.
Disruptive patrons of any age will be expected to exit the show.

Whistling Swan Productions strives to provide a listening environment where patrons and artists can focus on the music without distraction. Because of the quiet acoustic nature of most of our shows, all children in attendance should be able to sit without supervision in a way that does not distract or disturb other listeners for sets that normally last at least an hour, and may stretch to two full hours. In our four decades of producing shows, attending shows with our own children, and supervising students as educators, we have found that children under the age of nine (9) seldom have the interest and focus to sit through acoustic shows of this length without causing stress on parents, musicians, and other listeners. Therefore, while there are rare exceptions, we strongly advise parents to not bring children under the age of nine to Whistling Swan shows unless they are specifically labeled as for children or families.
